In 2012 there will be a fund drive to raise money for local Suicide Prevention Services in a town outside of Chicago, Illinois and the entire operation is expected to be driven by volunteer work and donated time, prom dresses and homecoming dresses. The fund raiser will take the form of a fashion show that's going to be attended by a number of local businesses who will be offering donations such as a flower shop which will donate flowers for the occasion, a salon which will offer models hair services and touch ups during the fundraiser and a number of other local vendors.

There has been some controversy recently regarding the type of costumes that have been worn by kids at Halloween and some people have suggested that certain outfits are far too adult oriented to be considered kids Halloween costumes. For this reason it has become standard practice for parents to make sure that their children aren't trying to dress up in costumes that were designed for a much older trick or treat session and have taken to buying costumes for their children instead of allowing the child to make the complete decision on which costume would be best.
